Overview and Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Along with the Producer, responsible for coordinating the workflow and schedule for the writers and updating and distributing the weekly script status report
• Creates and Manages day-to-day tracking and departmental updates
• Assists Production Supervisor with all script related tasks. May also support Story and Editorial Departments as needed
• Takes notes during writer meetings and story notes meetings and distributes information to the appropriate parties afterwards
• Ensure notes are accurately transcribed, saved in the appropriate format and distributed
• Responsible for proofreading and distributing all outlines, script drafts, and revisions along with tracking of water-marked script distributions
• Manage all script related legal clearances
• Flags potential writing issues to Production Supervisor, Line Producer, and/or Production Manager
• Track and provide cast list with line counts for every script draft
• Generate scripts for recording sessions (record drafts), conform script to edited dialogue, locked animatic, and locked picture
• Schedule, prep for, and attend page reviews and record sessions for both scratch and production records. This prep includes such things as proper labeling and printing of designated script pages.
• Tracking of script notes generated during record sessions, including tracking of pickup lines. Possibly assist with lining the script during the production records as needed by the Editor
• Maintain scripts, files, archiving, and tracking documents
• Able to communicate effectively regarding timelines
• Handles requests made by crewmembers, Directors, Department Head, Production Management and Production Supervisor
• Effectively communicates with the crew via email, one-on-one meetings and during crew meetings
• Anticipates potential issues and elevates information appropriately to Production Supervisor
• Has a basic knowledge of tools being used in the department
• May attend production meetings and provides script and story related updates
• Supports studio and production directives
• May coordinate departmental crew meetings, events and parties

Basic Qualifications
• Preferred experience as a Production Assistant within Animation production
• Proficiency in software like Final Draft, Microsoft Word and Excel, Gmail and Google Suite
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to present complex issues in a clear manner
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced production environment
• Ability to work proactively and independently while managing multiple projects with competing priorities
• Some leadership and team-building experience
