Senior Software Engineer, Developer Productivity - TV Devices

Job Description

Netflix runs on millions of smart TVs and game console devices on a hybrid C++/JavaScript SDK. Tools, Test and Reliability Engineering (TTR) team provides tools that power the test automation on these devices, develops tools that enhance developer productivity, and build tools to characterize embedded device's performance for Netflix applications.

We are looking for a generalist software engineer who is passionate about developing tools to improve the productivity of developers and testers across multiple devices.

• You understand the networking details in client/server communication and can comfortably debug issues related to HTTP, TCP, DNS etc.

Some problems that you might work on:
• Work on green space problems. Netflix SDK is undergoing architectural changes which has opened up a number of avenues to design automation solutions.
• Manage the linux reference application clusters in the cloud to move to a more cost effective instance and provide scale down strategy.
• Work on extending the visualization which shows product and test insights.
