DESCRIPTION:

CBS News is seeking an experienced and dynamic Deputy Bureau Chief who will be responsible for driving standout coverage of breaking news in the western part of the country. You will manage CBS News Los Angeles bureau operations in tandem with the Bureau Chief. The ideal candidate will build upon an existing network of contacts across the news industry. Will work closely with CBS News journalists, correspondents, producers, and crews on the west coast to produce day-of and breaking news pieces.

You will have exceptional knowledge of domestic and world news, and have the ability to maintain the highest journalistic standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

QUALIFICATIONS
• 5+ years management experience in a news bureau
• Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, under tight deadline pressure, including breaking news
