Responsibilities
The Director of Finance for Global Television Distribution is responsible for Financial, Planning & Analysis of NBC Universal's filmed entertainment and television product distributed in the Linear Free and Basic, Premium Pay, Subscription-VOD, Ad based-VOD and Transactional markets. The Director will lead a team overseeing revenue and cost budgets for a high-growth, fast paced global organization. This position will report to the VP/SVP of Finance and will be responsible for working collaboratively with the Sales team, Sales Administration, Marketing, Film & Television Planning Groups and Information Technology.
Responsibilities:
• Own & lead a team managing all aspects of financial planning (Annual Revenue Budget and Forecasts, Monthly Pacing, Strategic Long Range Plan) across multiple platforms & territories, and provide insight to key trends in the markets
• Create financial models to analyze deals and content performance for local partners and/or Global players (e.g. Netflix, Amazon)
• Gather and maintain key assumptions for planning cycles, continually assessing impact to plans
• Oversee development and maintenance of ultimates and greenlights for Film and TV content
• Liaise with all TVD functional areas including Sales, Operations, Marketing, Legal and Contract Administration
• Work in conjunction with Controllership team on monthly close activities and to ensure revenue is recognized in line with policy
• Oversee and develop budgets for distribution, marketing & overhead costs; track and report headcount for Global TVD
• Perform special projects as requested by management including identifying and implementing process improvements and system integrations
• Partner with Film & Television groups to ensure clear communication, track updates to series volume & film slates and monitor content performance
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance
• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in performing quantitative analysis, forecasting, and/or financial modeling
