Your Mission

As a Financial Analyst you will be responsible for this interesting and varied role. It requires the ability to analyse, account and explain various liquidity and foreign exchange flows for a major entity within the group, Activision Blizzard International B.V. You will prepare related account reconciliations in accordance with the policy, operate all processes in a SOX compliant manner and build efficient controls into project deliverables and, maintain and upate control documentation.

Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
• Liquidity Accounting & Reporting: Maintain daily cash application of financial related cash activities. Propose new activity types and mapping rules, when required.
• Regular monitoring and reconciliation of liquidity flows and related accounts consisting of bank, cash pools, investments, payment portals, dividends, interest and returns on investments by assessing alignment to ensure accuracte accounting of the transactions. This is a focal area within this position with significant responsibility and it brings exposure to and frequent interaction with the Treasury department.
• Reports cash actuals in Hyperion within monthly cycle timelines.
• Foreign Exchange: Analysis of FX results with a continuing objective to identify exposure characteristics and minimize causes of realized and unrealised FX gains/losses. This involves but is not limited to assessing FX results by maintaining the analysis, investigate and identify drivers and propose solutions to keep them at a minimum. This requires attention to detail, coordination with another Financial Analyst within the team and report results to Sr. Financial Accounting Manager thoughout the monthly close cycles.
• Reporting: Maintain variance analysis and commentary for the monthly P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow reviews to Senior Financial Accounting Manager and Accounting Director, Internatioanl within monthly closing cycle timelines.
• Provides input to the preparation of the Quarterly Results Review presentation packages. Ensures timeframes are adhered to, slides are accurate, understood and explained.
• Audits, Projects and Teamwork: Participates in external and internal audits, provides supporting documentation and walkthroughs of processes within area of responsibility.
• Participates in and contributes to teamwork, meetings, assigned projects and process improvement initiatives. Supports Sr. Financial Accounting Manager with ad-hoc requests and the Team by backing-up tasks during absences.

• ACCA/ACA/CIMA/Accounting Degree level Education or equivalent relevant to the experience required for the role
• Clear self-motivation with a history of exceeding high-performance standards
• Ability to build productive relationships by using your excellent written and verbal English skills along with strong stakeholder management skills
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
• Demonstrable experience in self-prioritizing of work and appropriately responses to urgent matters.
• A willingness to travel should it be required in role
• Dutch language skills would be an advantage
• You will be a confident, proactive and approachable personality who can work autonomously when required all with a great sense of humour
• Proficient with Oracle, Hyperion, Essbase, OBIEE/Answers strongly preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• International business experience strongly preferred
• US & Dutch GAAP experience would be an advantage
• Finally, a passion for gaming and entertainment is an absolute must
