This includes seven duopolies in the top 10 markets: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco, Washington, D.C. and Houston; as well as duopolies in Minneapolis, Phoenix, Orlando and Seattle.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Fox 5 TV, Washington DC's #1 news station with the most hours of local news, is looking for a Programming & Research Coordinator to join our team. This position will assist with a wide range of complex administrative and clerical duties to support the programming and research departments, and must maintain complete and accurate records . The coordinator will maintain the stations' programming schedules, Wide Orbit transmission schedules, sports tracks, and satellite feeds, as well as closed captioning processes and needs. A strong understanding and ability to compile reports will be required. Weekly, monthly and quarterly reports include, but are not limited to, FCC program/issues/compliance, station film/program usage, program amortization, and discrepancy reports. The coordinator will be responsible for data management and inventory in systems such as Wide Orbit Media Sales and Kantar. Responsible for daily Nielsen scheduling and verification, program log review and issuing operational notes. Provide notifications to syndicators and respond to inquiries about programming and scheduling. Respond to viewer calls/emails regarding schedule changes and programming issues. Daily interaction and coordination between various departments and positions is required. Must be able to interact professionally with station personnel and syndication representatives. This position requires strong communication and presentation skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Knowledge of media management and broadcast technologies, and an understanding of Nielsen methodology, scheduling and ratings is a plus. Must have strong computer skills and the competency to learn new systems. Intermediate MS Office skills. Bachelors degree and a minimum 2 years of media/broadcast industry experience preferred. Varied hours, weekends, local travel, on call and OT required.
