Role Summary & Responsibilities

This position concentrates on working closely with HR Business Partners within the Universal Filmed Entertainment Group (UFEG) in identifying individual, group and organizational development opportunities by defining, developing, implementing, and evaluating strategies and programs to drive business goals and priorities forward. This position will also provide Human Resources generalist support for various groups across UFEG. This position reports to VP, Human Resources/Head of L&OD, UFEG. Key programs and areas of responsibility will include but not be limited to:
• Actively and proactively partner with HR Business Partners in shaping strategy, manage change, improve processes, redesign organizational structures, identify and coach key talent, and realign/shift cultures assuring high performing, engaged and inclusive teams
• Conduct organization needs assessments to identify opportunities and drive desired changes and outcomes
• Empower employees, managers, and leaders to feel ownership of their professional and personal growth through impactful programming and delivery of self-service and ready to use OD toolkits and resources
• Support change management efforts through impact analysis, key stakeholder identification, communications planning, executive coaching and thought partnership
• Design and facilitate executive offsites and team development sessions
• Conduct internal executive coaching and manage external executive coaching engagements; including facilitation of 360 feedback, assessments and related interventions
• Collaborate with the NBCUniversal internal corporate university, the TalentLab and broader OD community. Build on enterprise offerings to provide tailored approaches for the business that promotes a learning culture; including design and delivery of a suite of learning programs, vendor management, resources and budget allocation
• Leverage data to evaluate strategies and programs measuring the achievement of established goals and action plans
• Serve as primary HR support and strategic business partner for various assigned client groups across UFEG
• Lead and leverage HR processes and drive key HR initiatives, including staffing, performance management, compensation planning, succession planning, training and development, rewards & recognition, organizational effectiveness and employee communication
• Partner and collaborate with various business leaders on growth strategies and cost initiatives; provide HR guidance and input on decisions and execute in order to enable these strategies
• Provide interpretation of HR policies, practices and procedures to employees and managers
• Work with leaders and employees to establish and maintain a positive work environment, which encourages the full use of diverse talents and abilities; act as an employee advocate; help drive various corporate and division business initiatives
• Provide coaching to employees & managers, offering feedback and advice on issues in a proactive and compassionate manner
• Manage employee relations issues including organizational and structural changes, conduct and direct investigations ensuring prosper handling, documentation and alignment with Legal

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in HR or relevant discipline (e.g. psychology)
• At least 10 + years' experience, preferably in Organization Effectiveness Consulting / Learning / Coaching / Counseling
• Experience as a training & OD professional within a large, complex organization is required

• Must have authorization to work in the United States

Desired Characteristics

• Master's degree preferred
• International experience is a plus
• Certifications in 360 feedback and related psychometrics tools highly desired
• Learning development and training certification highly desired
• Experience developing learning and development curriculum and utilizing multiple, state-of-the-art delivery methods and distance learning options
• Strong platform / facilitation skills
• Branding or employee communications background is a strong advantage
• Experience as a leader having had past oversight of direct reports and first hand understanding of P&L responsibility highly desired
