Office & Facilities Manager (12 Month FTC, Maternity Cover)

DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a self-starter Office & Facilities Manager to look after the running of office, reception and facilities. This is a fast paced and varied role for someone who is highly motivated, pragmatic and versatile. Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will be responsible for the smooth running of the office environment.

Your Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a capable individual who will manage the company's office and facilities needs efficiently and to a high standard that the Board, staff, authors and visitors would expect. This is a busy role that requires a high level of energy and lots of initiative.
On a daily basis you will be looking after our office facilities from managing third party service providers, for example the cleaning company, desk moves, to building maintenance management, whilst at the same time managing the Office & Facilities Assistant to run the post-room, stationery supplies and reception - you will be required to cover these activities during periods of absence.

QUALIFICATIONS:

This role will suit a flexible, proactive person who will possess the credibility to challenge existing processes and suppliers to deliver the efficiency required. Organisational, time management and communication skills are a must as is the ability to learn quickly. Strong supplier management and liaison is essential as well as awareness of statutory requirements such as Health and Safety. A qualified First Aider would be desirable, however not essential. The ability to communicate at all levels is a must as the role involves working directly with the internal staff as well as authors and the general public.
