JOB DESCRIPTION
FOX Sports is looking for a Senior Coordinator, Programming to join our team here in Los Angeles, CA. As our Senior Coordinator, you will be responsible for ratings production, program analysis, and providing scheduling and programming recommendations to management. Duties will include the creation of all affiliate maps, the Nielsen Company affiliate line-ups, weekend operations paperwork, and assisting with the assigning of formats to programs airing on any of the FOX Sports networks. In addition, you will assist with maintenance related to ratings tracks and the Programming & Research website.

Availability on the weekends is expected to ensure Network Operations and the Nielsen Company receive accurate information for live broadcasts (game assignments, AMOL, etc).

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support FOX Sports' weekly operations - Duties include MLB and NFL networking map creation, creating affiliate line-ups, creation of live event reporting tools (Reporting Form, Transponder Maps)
• Coordinate with internal clients (Commercial Administration, Network Operations) and external clients (The Nielsen Company) to ensure that they understand the live sports event structure for the week;
• Assist sports management with research and programming related issues to include properly recording and reporting of programming events to Nielsen, during Live Events
• Handle rating for live sporting events are produced accurately and on on-time
• Produce and maintain metered market information in order to support finance, marketing, production, programming, and sales - duties include use of various software tools and databases to assemble information and draw conclusions; responsibilities include writing and use of software macros to update and organize information; conduct routine inspections of all databases and reports using established department proofing procedures in order to insure data and software integrity
• Allow management to make informed decisions in all areas that support the company business model
• Assist with commercial formats in the proper placement of supplier time, promos, national advertising, and billboards to provide maximum value
• Assign formats in VPS and work with Commercial Admin to ensure logs are timed out
• Generate revenue through national ads and promote FOX programming
• Assist with Programming & Research website - duties include maintaining and uploading and the updating of reports that could impact FOX's live sporting events; multiple departments within the company are able to use this site for endless resources
• Assist with generating NFL ratings estimates for the upcoming season (Sales department is able to secure revenue based on these ratings projections)
• Responsible for staying current on all departmental software programs and processes (The Nielsen Company, the Microsoft Suite, ESRI and WRAP)
• Assist with training of new coordinators and interns

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in television research from a research firm or network is necessary
• This position is data heavy, must have advanced Excel skills, strong reporting skills and meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent analytical capabilities, critical thinking, and problem-solving will be expected
• Must have good organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Will need the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• A thorough understanding of the Nielsen Company ratings system and a working knowledge of the television industry and the various functions of a network is necessary
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, including good presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with staff
• Proven supervisory and leadership skills are necessary
• The ability to multitask and work effectively under daily time constraints is also required
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Visio and Outlook) is required. Strong experience with Excel macros is also needed
• Knowledge of myEVNTS, NPower, WRAP Overnights and ArcGIS is necessary
• Good organizational and project management skills, basic edit bay and tape machine knowledge are required

NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEAL BREAKER
• Bachelor's Degree is preferred, but not required
• Knowledge of sports and experience with live programming is preferred
