Responsibilities
NBC Sports Bay Area is hiring a reporter to cover the Golden State Warriors. This is a dynamic role that will involve covering the team across all platforms, focusing on digital storytelling, social, podcasts, and TV appearances on Warriors pregame and postgame shows. This position will report to the Senior Director, Digital Strategy.

Job duties:
• Write, report, and break news on a daily basis
• Provide original analysis that engages the Warriors audience, especially in the Bay Area
• Strong social presence, especially on Twitter and Instagram
• Informed story choice based on digital analytics
• Being an integral part of Warriors podcast on NBC Sports Bay Area
• Taking ownership of the success of Warriors podcast and developing multimedia content plans around it
• Comfortability being on-camera with smart, genuine takes for digital, social, and linear
• Ability to write strong ledes with SEO-maximized headlines and copy

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
• 4+ writing and reporting at a major media outlet(s) under consistent deadlines
• 2+ years covering a team in a major sports league
• 1+ year of on-air experience on digital, social, and/or linear channels
• 1+ year as podcast talent, either as host, co-host, or regular guest
• Team player that is able to work cross-functionally and adjust to constantly changing media landscape

Eligibility Requirements
• Must be willing to work in San Francisco, CA
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years or older
