Job Description
PART TIME NEWS WRITER/PRODUCER
DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for writing copy for newscasts, including vo, vo/sots and packages. May be responsible for breaking news coverage. Participate in morning meeting, work with assignment manager to develop stories, and perform other duties assigned by News Director.
Must be a master of storytelling and the written word. Understand top story treatment, elementing of stories, ''news now'' production style, effective teasing, aggressive use of live elements, and innovation of presentation are helpful.
Morning/Noon News Shift.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required: Television experience
Preferred: Entry level.
