Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC seeks a Senior Staff Programmer in Los Angeles, CA to develop unique physical effects functionalities to control special effects in games. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any) or a related field or equivalent, plus five (5) years of progressively responsible experience designing, implementing and maintaining systems and tools. Prior experience must include five (5) years of progressively responsible experience supporting gameplay including animation, locomotion, navigation and combat; developing methods to blend animated motions and physical motions; writing clear and highly functional code for systems and games; implementing highly optimized and bespoke codes using SIMD and GPU; utilizing the combination of CPU and GPU for hardware; using mathematics, rigid body dynamics, collision detection and computational geometry to develop games for the platform; and, implementing codes by using SIMD instruction and multi-threaded codes.
