Job Description

We are looking for a well-rounded 3D/CG generalist to join our growing VFX team. We're searching for an artist who has the ability and background experience to execute a broad range of CG tasks including modeling, rigging, matchmoving, animation and lighting. This is a true generalist role! A particular affinity for matchmove, animation and previs would be a plus. We're looking for a proactive individual with a 'can do' attitude, an appetite for continued learning and professional growth, and a healthy dose of team spirit. Taking direction/critique, interpreting notes and learning/applying new skills are key parts of everyday life in our studio.

Job Duties:
• Work collaboratively with team members, VFX Supervisors, and team leads and to effectively & efficiently meet client expectations
• 3D modeling, texturing, matchmove/layout, animation, lighting, shading, look development
• Work with VFX Supervisor and team to identify appropriate methodology and solutions for CG shots/sequences.
• Create digital modeling according to the developed concept or according to the references obtained
• Create textures on objects
Create lighting for scenes
• Prepare layers expected by the compositing team
• Identify, analyze, solve and document problems encountered

Requirements & Preferences:
• Knowledge and Experience with Windows (PC) Production Environment – Required
• Previous working knowledge with Maya as a 3d Generalist or animator – required
• Knowledge and Experience with PF Track/other tracking software – Required
• Knowledge and Experience with Nuke – Required
• Knowledge and Experience in a live action pipeline - Required
• Knowledge of Practical Filmmaking Techniques – Required
• Excellent Artistic Ability/Aptitude – Required
• Accredited Post-Secondary Degree or Related Coursework – Preferred
• Must be able to take direction/critiques positively and thrive under the pressure of tight deadlines
• Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
A strong eye for detail, composition, color, and lighting'
• Working knowledge of the overall VFX pipeline
