Associate Producer (Investigative Projects)

Sinclair Broadcast Group Corporate News Division is seeking an Associate Producer of Investigative Projects to join the award-winning ''Project Baltimore'', team in our Corporate-Based, Special Projects Unit. Project Baltimore investigates challenges in the local government/education system. Since its launch in 2017, Project Baltimore has produced more than 250 original reports and has won national investigative reporting awards including IRE, SPJ and Headliner Awards.

This position reports directly to the Executive Producer of Investigative Projects. The successful candidate must have strong writing skills and have experience with news projects. Being able to work in a fast-paced environment is essential. This position requires education in journalism or mass communications with previous television experience. Non-linear video editing is a plus. Experience with research is a plus. Organizational skills are a must. The candidate chosen will understand the importance of urgency of producing news on all platforms.

Required Experience:
• News writing experience

• At least 2 years of experience working in a daily commercial television news environment.

• Non-linear editing
