Digital Media Specialist

Job Description

Film distribution and OTT company looking for Digital Media Specialist with experience in video archiving, video editing, and metadata production. Digital Media Specialist will be tasked with integrating, encoding, and delivering digital assets. Expected to maintain video archive, edit clips and trailers, and possess understanding of digital rights management, various video containers and codecs, file conversion, and industry best practices.

Digital Media Specialist will facilitate uploads, gather relevant ancillary files for creation of deliverables and ad insertion. Monitoring quality assurance and brand safety measures on video clips, assets, and in closed captioning. Execute highly specific metadata requirements in XML.

Captioning or Google CMS experience a plus.

Working knowledge of TV programming and internet TV space a plus.

Resume required. Video editing or work portfolio a plus.

Required:

Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Final Cut, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Excel)

Understanding of digital file transfer using different protocols i.e. Aspera, FTP, etc.

Basic operation and troubleshooting for PCs and Macs.

Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

Strong sense of organization, ability to meet deadlines, detail-oriented.

Degree or comparable experience in Information Technology, Media Management, Broadcast Engineering.
