Responsibilities
The Content and Technical Operations Associate position is a hybrid role providing content research and editing/delivering digital screener and master files to our Sales Partner within tight deadlines. (S)he has good research and video editing skills with knowledge of digital file transcoding to fulfil screener and master e nsuring a seamless delivery of content. (S)he stays informed of NBC News tools and technical workflow changes that impact content delivery to Sales Partner.

The Content and Technical Operations Associate is expected to juggle and prioritize assigned tasks and must be able to complete a high volume of repetitive tasks that need to be accomplished with precision. (S)he also provides high quality customer support to Partner and assists the team with technical issues.

The right candidate is a dynamic and high performing team player who will thrive in a fast-paced client focused environment. S(he) can navigate internal workflows and Partner's technical requirements to meet tight deadlines and aggressive volume targets.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage file transcoding and delivery work flows and fulfil digital orders to deliver screeners and masters to Partner with a high degree of accuracy and a fast turnaround time.
• Understand licensing process, content and restrictions to review orders during fulfilment process.
• Work on research and screener requests as assigned by Manager and Senior Researchers
• Communicate progress on research assignments and tech orders to Researchers and Partner on a timely basis and provide regular updates on large complex projects.
• Master the overall MAM and technical workflow to solve issues with the right stakeholders and advise Researchers and Partner on delivery schedule and delays.
• Keep accurate records of customer projects and orders in Salesforce
• Keep and organize all necessary copies and back up of content
• Provide technical assistance to both internal team and Partner.
• Troubleshoot all workflow, equipment and technical issues and coordinate with other internal departments.
• Stay abreast of different technical formats (Umatic, MII, BetacamSP, Digital Betacam, XDCAM Discs, HDCAM, HDCAM-SR, AVID SD & HD Formats) and storage locations to determine optimal ingest and delivery.
• Stay updated on development in digital video and advise on futureproofing our workflow and equipment.
• Provide back up and coverage within the department during absences and high deadline periods and provide support as needed on special projects.

Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university required
• Basic video Editing experience, preferably with AVID Media Composer.
• Knowledge of video transcoding & digital delivery
• Superior computer skills including Office Suite, Salesforce and database research.
• Knowledge of copyright, rights licensing and stock footage industry preferred
• Strong interest in history, current events and popular culture and content research.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to work closely with Researchers and Partner.
• Detail oriented with ability to follow precise instructions and maintain accurate records.
• Multi-tasker, organized, with strong time management skills.
• Must be able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and willing to work flexible hours.
• Must show initiative, own assigned projects and work independently.
• Team player, able to troubleshoot and support team members to meet requests volume and projects' deadlines.
