Operations Coordinator

Job Description

Fox Sports Southwest is seeking an Operations Coordinator! This position is responsible for assisting the Operations Manager in coordinating facilities and remote trucks for live events. Duties include conducting site surveys, arranging equipment rentals, coordinating equipment shipping, submitting credential lists for non-pro product, booking transmission for events and maintaining relationships with team, conference and school partners to ensure their needs are met in association with the region's broadcasts. You may be required to occasionally work nights and/or weekends and complete other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities include:
• Book transmission requirements for assigned teams and events
• Contact for Producers, Directors and Talent working at remote sites
• Assist with rental equipment vendors
• Assist with scheduling and coordinating pickup and delivery of equipment
• Back up for booking travel for freelancers
• Participate in associated meetings and conference calls
• Available to occasionally travel to events

Qualifications and Requirements:
• 4-year degree preferred, in Communications, Broadcasting or Radio/TV/Film, or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 2 years' experience in live event and/or news production and technical operations
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook is needed. Knowledge of Quip application is a plus
• Experience with production budgets is helpful but not required
• Strong organizational skills
• Detail oriented
• Ability to work without supervision and under pressure
• Good written and verbal communication skills are imperative
• The ability to communicate technical issues and remain calm under pressure is essential
• Must be familiar with studio production and remote production facilities
• Occasionally required to bend and lift up to 30 pounds
• Must be able to drive a car
• Must be willing to travel and attend live sports events
• Familiar with production equipment that is used on the remote production facilities
• May be required to occasionally work nights and/or weekends
