Job Description
In this role, you will work with many aspects of the music publishing experience, working cross-functionally with a diverse group of stakeholders, including Operations, Technical Account Managers, Legal, and Finance.

You will build and maintain strategic relationships with our music publishing partners for YouTube, including, managing existing publisher partnerships, launching relationships, driving business opportunities, resolving business issues, and analyzing and tracking key metrics to identify trends. You are as comfortable managing complex relationships and working cross-functionally with colleagues across multiple disciplines to ensure our music partners are positioned for success and our users enjoy the best experience possible.

You will manage day-to-day operations and publisher relationships, fielding and prioritizing incoming requests, troubleshooting partner systems around reporting, music rights management, Content ID, and creating periodic reports (external and internal) on partner performance. You will facilitate ongoing business and operational processes by working closely with Google's Reporting and Partner Support teams, addressing rights management issues, and identifying and driving business growth opportunities. You will ensure that licenses are in place, royalty payments are accurate and timely, and our partner's rights are effectively managed on the platform.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $121,000-$187,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Resonsibilities:
• Work with cross-functional teams across Product, Engineering, Sales, Operations, Finance, and Legal to implement content licenses and provide the YouTube community with an excellent user experience.
• Handle day-to-day operations and platform management with music publishing partners, field and prioritize incoming requests, troubleshoot partner issues around reporting, content management, and Content ID, and create periodic reports on performance.
• Develop a deep knowledge of Google and YouTube technology, particularly surrounding rights management and reporting.
• Translate technical systems for our partners and keep Google and YouTube colleagues up to speed on the complex and evolving music publishing business landscape.

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• 8 years of experience in music publishing and/or licensing music publishing rights for digital music, broadcast or internet businesses
• 5 years of experience driving operational workflows in digital music and/or media societies and publisher/label relationships

Preferred qualifications:
• Experience managing high-stress situations and managing multiple projects, remaining focused on accomplishing the tasks
• Experience with spreadsheet software analysis, data management, and YouTube's Content Management System
• Experience with public speaking and giving presentations with the ability to influence and communicate cross-functionally and externally
• Understanding of key publishing issues, and trends in rights management (e.g., sync rights, performance licenses and withdrawals, collection societies, and publisher/label relationships)
• Interest and ability to learn, technological concepts, financial models, and product features
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills
