Job Description

Whether understanding and solving their online content concerns, navigating within global legal frameworks, or writing and enforcing worldwide policy, the Trust & Safety team is on the frontlines of enhancing the YouTube experience, building internet safety, and protecting free speech in our ever-evolving digital world.As the Policy Escalations Lead in EMEA on the YouTube Trust and Safety team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our policies are enforced effectively, including from the point of identification of possible violation, to removal and appeals. You will work with cross-functional teams to provide YouTube's response to emerging escalations. You will review graphic, controversial, and sometimes offensive video content in line with YouTube's Community Guidelines. In this role, you will work on-call at weekends and holidays on a rotational basis.

Resonsibilities:
• Manage the Dublin team members and work closely with all the global Platform and Ecosystems (P&E) leads on shaping direction and resource allocation.
• Prepare presentations and clearly communicate initiatives to senior management and to the broader organization.
• Liaise with policy, PR, and legal teams to craft and implement process solutions to emerging threats.
• Own and shape relationships with partnering Engineering teams on projects ranging tool and classifier development, research and experimentation, data and analytical.
• Review graphic, controversial, and sometimes offensive video content in line with YouTube's Community Guidelines.
Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications:
• Experience working in an operations-oriented organization.
• Experience with people management.
• Experience in learning/training management and developing quality control processes within operations.
• Ability to work non-standard, on-call rotation weekend and holiday hours.
Preferred qualifications:
• Experience applying policy to online content, while making accurate judgment calls regarding appropriate and violative content. Experience in content policy, anti-abuse, and reviewing online content.
• Experience with spreadsheets, databases SQL and data analysis.
• Experience working with international issues across multiple geographies, including freedom of expression, child safety and/or online controversial content.
• Experience in managing and engaging with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills with attention to detail in an ever-changing environment.
• Ability to speak and write in an additional EMEA language fluently.
