Job Description
Fast-paced, dynamic, and proactive, YouTube's Trust & Safety team is dedicated to making YouTube a safe place for users, viewers, and content creators around the world to belong, create, and express themselves. Whether understanding and solving their online content concerns, navigating within global legal frameworks, or writing and enforcing worldwide policy, the Trust & Safety team is on the frontlines of enhancing the YouTube experience, building internet safety, and protecting free speech in our ever-evolving digital world.

In this role, you will work to build a safer online experience for kids and families across the globe. As a Policy Enforcement Manager, you will implement and enforce our Kids Content Policies. You will understand the content ecosystem, define the operational plan and implement it, working with stakeholders in Product, Engineering, Vendor Operations, Analytics, Policy, and Legal.

You will ensure that we improve our understanding of trends and risks to content safety on the YouTube Kids app and related products. This includes understanding the abusive patterns of bad actors to help prevent and remove offensive content as fast as possible, as well as helping the product to identify and incentivize high-quality, relevant content for kids of varying ages and developmental stages. You will also use qualitative and quantitative information to enforce our policies and inform our product strategy and business decisions for a safe, compelling product for kids.

In this role, you will review graphic, controversial, and offensive video content in line with YouTube's Community Guidelines. You will also work non-standard, on-call rotation weekend and holiday hours.

At YouTube, we believe that everyone deserves to have a voice, and that the world is a better place when we listen, share, and build community through our stories. We work together to give everyone the power to share their story, explore what they love, and connect with one another in the process. Working at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and boundless creativity, we move at the speed of culture with a shared goal to show people the world. We explore new ideas, solve real problems, and have fun - and we do it all together.

Resonsibilities:
• Work with Product, Engineering, and Business teams on creative solutions (e.g., machine learning, enforcement workflows) to improve content safety and quality across YouTube's Kids Experiences.
• Analyze, identify, prioritize content trends, and deliver strategies and inform on policies that reduce content that could be harmful to users.
• Implement content safety strategies critical to various YouTube Kids surfaces, working with cross-functional partners (e.g., Policy, Legal, Engineering, Vendor Operations, Analytics, etc.).
• Track and monitor performance against key metrics, turning data into digestible and actionable stories for cross-functional teams.
• Manage content escalations, providing data- and content-driven insights and implementing solutions.

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 years of experience working in content strategy and/or operations.
• Experience using data to drive strategy and business action.

Preferred qualifications:
• Experience reviewing online content for policy violation or abuse.
• Experience working with large-scale vendor operations.
• Experience working in children's and/or popular culture media and technology.
• Understanding of SQL, programming, and visualization software.
• Ability to build relationships with cross-functional partners across geographies.
• Ability to work non-standard hours and be on-call to manage policy escalations requiring immediate resolution.
