Partner Technology Manager, YouTube Music (English, Korean)

The Music Solutions team accelerates YouTube's Music businesses with stellar technology strategies, operations, and partner support, making data exchange seamless and scaling critical business processes. Our team of Partner Technology Managers, Solutions Consultants, Product Specialists, and Program Managers supports YouTube Music and Google Play Music, providing technical solutions and support for our top music partners - including artists, labels, and publishers around the globe.

As a Partner Technology Manager, you will manage technical engagements with media companies and be responsible for the ongoing success and satisfaction of a portfolio of partners. You will drive partnership success through the effective adoption of our product offerings. In this role, you'll lead projects and teams with collaboration across functions. You will be instrumental in improving existing operations, commercializing new solutions, bridging product gaps, automating partner operations, and taking new initiatives from conception to successful deployment. You will also work as a Sales Engineer to lead the technical relationship in agreements with new content partners.

Resonsibilities:
• Own the technical relationship with many of the premium partners and work closely with the Business Development team.
• Identify, drive, and optimize the revenue flow from existing and new business opportunities by leveraging YouTube technologies through prototyping and innovation.
• Perform implementation reviews, advocate new product features and new internal tools, and ensure the prompt and proper resolution of technical issues.
• Improve product feature offerings by providing partner feedback to internal cross-functional teams including Product Management and Engineering.
• Apply technical and project-management skills to make sense of masses of data, increasing YouTube's value to music creators all over the globe.

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in internet technologies (e.g., Java, Python), and Unix/Linux systems and scripting languages.
• Experience with Data Analysis, Coding, Engineering and SQL queries, and client-facing.
• Ability to speak and write in Korean and English fluently.

Preferred qualifications:
• Experience in internet video technologies, including Digital Rights Management (DRM) solutions, video or audio codecs, live streaming, 360/VR, etc.
• Ability to absorb complex technical concepts and communicate them to a non-technical audience.
• Ability to work on a team and be a creative thinker, and work well in a globally distributed cross-functional environment.
• Ability to prioritize and work well in an environment with multiple demands.
• Excellent project management skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal business communication skills.
