Job Description

In this role, you will build and continuously improve core functionality for video and channel management, such as the YouTube upload experience. You will build a platform for all other YouTube teams to build on when launching creator-facing features (e.g., the Comments and Analytics teams). You will ensure a coherent product experience and to be the supporter for creators' needs and workflows, which we achieved through deep user knowledge.

Resonsibilities:
• Lead a team working with the Engineers, Designers, Researchers, and fellow Product Managers
• Shape and execute on our strategy on multi-format content including Live, Shorts, and VOD.
• Launch new features and functionality to help creators reach their full potential on YouTube and to enable cross-organizational strategic initiatives.
• Own video management and publishing within YouTube. Improve the platform, and partner with other teams at YouTube to help them launch features.
• Collaborate with nearly all YouTube product teams on most of the projects happening across YouTube and represent the needs of creators in the product design and decision making process.

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in software product management.
• Experience leading a team and managing people.

Preferred qualifications:
• Experience with managing organizational complexity, including customer and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong user experience and design thinking ability, able to partner with UX Designers and UX Researchers
• Ability to work with ambiguity, solve complex problems, and scale effectively across a large organization and highly distributed team.
• Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills to drive unique insights to solve customer pain points.
