The YouTube Business Team empowers creators to identify opportunities, create communities, and make money doing what they love. We work cross-functionally to launch products like YouTube Kids, YouTube Music, and YouTube TV, and engage communities around shared passions and global conversations.
As the Global News Ecosystem Lead, you will be tasked with shaping the future of news on the platform. You will drive the exploration, scoping, and execution of models to bring high-quality news content to YouTube, enabling content experiences for users around the world who come to YouTube for their news, and making news publishing more sustainable for the breadth of the world's news organizations.
In this role, you will manage strategies, products, and programs for the news ecosystem. You will act as a team lead, while also being responsible for driving initiatives.

Resonsibilities:
• Develop strategic recommendations on business and partnership models for news content creation and distribution on YouTube, rooted in a mastery of industry trends.
• Craft product and program launch roadmaps in collaboration with cross-functional teams, identifying opportunities for partnerships, developing business terms, and managing business agreements to close.
• Evaluate business engagement models that could apply to a wide range of news industry partners.
• Prepare presentations and convey findings and recommendations from initiatives to management.
• Lead a team of high-performing Strategic Partner Managers to maximize the collective team's impact through coaching, project delegation, and oversight.
Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications:
• 10 years of experience in developing partnerships in the news industry
• 5 years of experience in people management and growing and developing teams
• Experience launching and scaling digital products with a focus on content acquisition and distribution
Preferred qualifications:
• Master's degree or Juris doctor degree
• Experience with data analysis, financial modeling, and presentation development
• Excellent negotiation and analytical skills regarding contractual, technical, and financial issues with partners
