Director, Global Rapid Response, Trust & Safety

Job Description

As the Director for Global Rapid Response you will be responsible for delivering high quality policy enforcement support on escalations from external sources as well as internal. You'll lead our front line operations on cutting-edge policy issues and are comfortable delivering decisions/recommendations to executives. You will serve as functional lead for the global Rapid Response team. In addition, you will be responsible for leading YouTube's Code of Conduct process which reviews creators causing undue harm to YouTube's ecosystem. You'll also oversee the newly formed Market Responsibility Specialist function in the Americas, the team that brings expert regional insights to help improve how YouTube enforces our policies.

You will be responsible for managing complex and evolving incidents. The role involves sensitive escalation management and working closely with senior stakeholders across the business to apply policy principles and address brand risk. The role will require working cross-functionally across Policy Development, Policy Verticals, Scaled Abuse, Product, and Global Scaled Operations to operationalize, enforce, and communicate policies that keep users safe. The role requires thinking through the unique challenges of a broad array of policy areas while developing workflows that are consistent and resilient. This role will review graphic, controversial, and sometimes offensive video content in line with YouTube's Community Guidelines.This role will require on-call work at weekends & holidays on a rotational basis.
