The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Resonsibilities:
• Support strategic initiatives to ensure we continuously improve and iterate on our infrastructure.
• Perform on-call duties to help support 24/7 global operation to ensure reliable and high quality delivery of live video streams to YouTube TV (YTV) and Programmatic TV (PTV).
• Partner closely with broadcasters, third-party aggregators and content partner companies to deliver live content to YouTube OTT.
• Develop and use metrics to measure quality and reliability of the ingestion platform.
• Prioritize and track new linear live content launches on YouTube TV and support the team to execute on-time and based on urgency.
Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience working at the national broadcast level, supporting 24/7 live broadcasts, live productions or distribution headends.
• Experience designing broadcast systems, specifically transmission chains geo-redundant across third-party colos, and technical project management.
Preferred qualifications:
• Experience coordinating vendors, test and commissioning of systems and launching new signal chains.
• Experience reporting metrics and performance to identify areas of opportunity.
• Experience running a broadcast operation 24/7.
• Experience working in a matrixed environment, influencing cross-functional and technical teams, and communicating technical concepts to business stakeholders.
• Ability to manage several deadlines and deliver under time constraints.
