Job Description
WXII 12/WCWG (NBC & The Triad CW), a Hearst-owned station in Winston-Salem, NC, is seeking a creative Promotion Writer/Producer to join our creative services team. This highly creative individual will be responsible for writing, producing, and editing original marketing content across all media platforms, along with additional assigned duties. Our marketing content encompasses Local News, NBC and CW Network shows, syndicated programs, locally produced content, owned station group content, OTT content, locally sponsored marketing and community campaigns, specials, live events, and ''Own the Moment'' opportunities.
Responsibilities
• Produce, write, and edit engaging promotional content for the WXII 12 and Triad CW brands, including on-air, digital, and social media campaigns.
• Must have skills in collaborating with both large and small groups to develop internal partnerships to develop strategies tailored to our brand and audience.
• Ensure that all promotional materials meet high standards of detail, design, and effectiveness.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
• Other assigned duties as needed.
Qualifications
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere and After Effects is required.
• Strong knowledge of video production techniques and creative editing.
• Solid understanding of local news marketing and audience engagement.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong sense of design aesthetics.
• Ability to share and develop ideas collaboratively and have a positive, innovative, and goal-oriented mindset.
• Must be a team player, think creatively, and work collaboratively with the team to ensure the project's completion to brand quality standards.
• Bachelor's Degree or some college preferred.
• Equivalent military training from Defense Information School (DINFOS) and associated experience will be considered.
• Television Writer/Producer experience preferred.
• Experience with Adobe applications such as After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Photoshop is a must.
• Drone flying with Part 107 Certification is a plus.
• Videography and still photography skills a plus.
• Related military experience will be considered.
