About WTVM:

WTVM is a Gray Television owned ABC affiliate in Columbus, GA. WTVM produces more than 50 hours of live local news programming every week. Viewers rate WTVM as the most-watched local station for news, weather, and sports coverage in the market. WTVM provides engineering and IT services to WXTX and WLTZ under shared services agreements. We source 20 content streams into our market across the 3 full power stations and 4 low power stations. This position is part of a diverse technical team responsible for the short and long-term technology strategy and the health of the station. Job Summary/Description:

WTVM, an ABC affiliate in Columbus, GA, is seeking a Director of IT Engineering. This is a department head position that will oversee the IT infrastructure and planning for the entire operation. Gray is very aggressive about Network/Internet security. Previous broadcast experience preferred.

Duties/Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
- Responsible for overseeing the operation of critical IT systems within the television station.
- Reports directly to the Director of Technology
- Designs and maintains the network infrastructure
- Address security needs
- Provide desktop support
- Hardware and software maintenance
- Manage multi-site IT infrastructure

Qualifications/Requirements:
- 3+ years experience in an IT leadership/management role preferred
- Strong Leader who can work collaboratively and independently
- Degree in IT related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience required
- Full and complete knowledge of IP Addressing, NATs, Packet Filtering, and all related IP methodologies
- Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA and other industry certifications a plus
- Experience managing multi-site IT infrastructures preferred
- Basic knowledge of fiber technologies
- Experienced with network wiring and cabling
- Able to effectively communicate high level technical details to non-technical people
- Self-starter with solid prioritization skills
- Strong multitasker with experience handling multiple dynamic tasks at once and see through to completion.
- Available for on call emergencies as necessary
- Experience in broadcast television or a related field a plus
