Are you passionate about visual storytelling and ready to capture the vibrant lifestyle content that showcases the best of South Florida? WSFL, the E.W. Scripps station in Miami, Florida is seeking a talented Photographer/Editor who will bring our lifestyle programming to life through compelling visual content. This role is essential to our ''Inside South Florida'' show and commercial production team, combining technical expertise with creative vision to deliver engaging content across multiple platforms.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Capture and edit visual content for multiple platforms
• Operate and maintain news gathering equipment
• Work in tandem with Lifestyle show hosts and producers, including commercial production
• Perform other duties as assigned
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
• Associates degree in related discipline preferred
• Generally 2+ years of experience in related field preferred
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
• Proficiency with lighting and computer-based editing
• Knowledge of cameras including Sony FX9 and FX3
• Knowledge and demonstration of creativity, editorial judgment, journalistic ethics and libel laws
• Knowledge of and proficiency in posting content to station's web sites
• Able to work efficiently under multiple deadlines on a daily basis
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to provide proof of insurance with the company required insurance limits
