IT Operations Analyst, WRTV

WRTV, the Scripps ABC station in Indianapolis, IN is hiring an IT Operations Analyst (IT Ops Analyst)! The IT Ops Analyst provides support, configuration and maintenance of local area networks, operating systems, application software and hardware in accordance with Scripps IT policies and procedures.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Provide desktop support for local users to include workstations, laptops, printers, and copiers.
• Gather feedback from end users regarding system performance.
• Provide effective levels of support and guidance to employees regarding the use of systems and technologies available on network.
• Provide advice and technical training to users.
• Perform mid level troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair/fixes for LAN related hardware and software
• Install, configure, and maintain the organization's LAN server and workstations.
• Ensure backup and recovery procedures are in place and followed on daily/appropriate basis.
• Implement and maintain the installation and operation of local networks and systems.
• Additional points include experience with PDQ Suite, FreeFileSync, Veeam and FTP protocol.
• ​Maintain voice, data and video systems.
• Notify appropriate management when users or organization is negatively impacted by voice, data, or video systems issues and recommend possible solutions.
• Research and evaluate new technologies, make recommendations as required.
• Keep current with technology development, trends, and regulations to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
• Respond to technology requests and issues in a timely manner.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field; or equivalent experience
• 2-5 years of general IT experience
• Basic knowledge of networks, business and publishing systems and production systems

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
• Ability to work within a team environment
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical materials
• Ability to work independently with moderate supervision
