WRDW-TV/WAGT-TV is home to the CBS and NBC affiliates in the beautiful southern city of Augusta, GA. The station operates out of a state-of-the-art facility that launched in February 2021. The Augusta DMA (#108) has a competitive news environment, and the award-winning news team produces over 40 hours of news per week. Augusta is home to a thriving downtown, restaurants to satisfy the foodie in you, and offers plenty of outdoor recreation with its rivers, lakes, and trails. Home of the world-famous Masters Golf Tournament, Augusta is also situated 3 hours from the mountains, 2 hours from the coast, giving day-trippers the best of both worlds.
Job Summary/Description:
WRDW/WAGT is looking for our next Technical Media Producer (TMP) with a background in production. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, calculated, and passionate when bringing the producers vision to life and balancing tasks in Master Control. This individual must be able to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
The primary job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize complex tasks
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Strong organizational skills
- Understanding of FCC broadcast regulations
- Newscast Directing/Master Control/Production assistance experience a plus
- Knowledge of Ross Overdrive, Caprica, ENPS, and Crispin automation and playout systems preferred
Qualifications/Requirements:
Requires skills with Ross Overdrive automation, Ross production video switcher, Evertz Master Control video switcher, Crispin Master Control automation, Edius editing software and all supporting equipment in Production/Master Control; including the ability to effectively perform at the following: prompter operation, commercial/promo ingesting, program ingesting/segmenting, and desktop editing.
