Job summary
Wondery is seeking a passionate and talented individual to lead Video Production for the Content team. This is a great opportunity to work for a leader in the audio space and help supercharge our growth in video.

This full-time position will report to the Head of Production and work closely with each content vertical within Wondery, as well as cross-functionally with other departments including in the areas of digital operations, marketing, and monetization. They will be responsible for setting up systems and teams that can successfully capture new and existing podcasts for video, help determine which video format and approach will best serve the content, and deliver best-in-class video for Wondery content. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, have extensive production experience in multiple forms and roles within digital video content creation and production, and will understand how to communicate and work with teams of audio producers, including those with no video experience as well as many with extension video/film/TV backgrounds. They will have a positive attitude that helps them thrive in an intellectually curious, fast-paced, and deadline-driven environment. Our end goal is produce best-in-class video content for audio-led content that will meet, engage, and excite our customers wherever they are.

This role can be based in either Los Angeles, CA or New York, NY.

Key job responsibilities
• Partner with the Head of Production, Content verticals, and cross-functionally to develop the vision, strategy, requirements, tactics, goals, budgets, and team needed to deliver authentic and compelling video and broadcast talent across key channels such as YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, etc.
• Build the team you will lead, define headcount requirements by phase to support strategy at scale.
• Collaborate with product, content strategy, and marketing stakeholders to execute on a regular cadence of video content.
• Work with cross-functional teams on the planning and promotion of video content.
• Consult with key stakeholders to set the tone, style, and quality bar for video at Wondery.
• Establish streamlined production workflows for content creation from ideation to publication including use of internal teams, use of agencies, project management, scripting, asset production, run of show, and all aspects of the creation and promotion of video content.
• Track assets and deliverables required for video production.
• Act as our video content expert, staying informed on latest live stream and video trends, tools, opportunities, and best practices.
• Provide regular reports on content performance, customer feedback and sentiment, and learnings.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 5+ years of creative services experience
• Experience working at or with a creative or advertising agency, network, streaming service, or studio
• Experience leading process improvements and/or operations tool implementations (e.g. digital asset management tool)
• Understanding of the workflow within a marketing, production, or creative department or company
• Experience leading projects across multiple stakeholders
• Experience working with digital asset management tools

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 4+ years of extensive experience running a video production team.
• 4+ years of experience producing video content for a brand or company.
• Experience with localizing content, voice overs, or subtitles for multiple languages
• Experience with stakeholder management for briefs and review/approval process.
• Deep working knowledge of video platforms such as YouTube, Tiktok, Instagram Reels, etc.
• Advanced Video Editing experience and software skills.
• Project management skills, experience managing competing priorities.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Passion for podcasts, experimentation, and customer advocacy.
