Job Summary/Description:

WLUC is looking for a Sports Director to lead our market-leading Sports Department. We are looking for a leader who can work closely with the rest of the newsroom to create engaging content for on-air and digital platforms.

Duties/Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Research, plan and produce daily content
- Coordinate and plan coverage for on-air and digital platforms
- Coordinate with others on daily content and special events
- Shoot, write and edit sports stories, emphasizing local sports for multiple platforms
- Enhance relationships in the local sports community
- Enhance the Friday Night Fever franchise
- Use the TV6+ streaming app for enhanced local sports content
- Report live from various sporting evevnts
- Produce/anchor sports segments for newscasts
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Must have a valid driver's license
- A command of the English language, spelling and grammar are required
- The right individual will have a keen eye for visual storytelling
- A strong grasp of the English language, spelling and grammar is a MUST!
