Unscripted Development Executive

Job Description

Position Summary

Whalerock Industries is currently looking for an Unscripted Development Executive. This role is ideal for candidates presently in a coordinator to upper management role, looking for advancement. This position will play a pivotal role in growing and maintaining an active slate across multiple genres, including game, competition, format, premium doc.

Responsibilities

· Create pitch materials (decks/sizzle reels)

· Responsible for helping drive an active slate of projects in various stages of development

· Seek out and assess proposals, presentations, decks, and pitches from third parties

· Identify IP and relevant source material

· Track current market trends through mandates and network calls

· Expand/build/maintain current and new relationships with broadcasters/agencies/ managers/producers/talent etc…

· Push innovation by staying ahead of market trends and consuming a lot of various content off-hours

Requirements

· 5-6 years experience

· Strong work ethic

· Understanding of the current unscripted landscape (shows/platforms/trends)

· Working knowledge of past unscripted formats

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Keen understanding of Keynote and Photoshop

· Comfortable working in creative brainstorms

· Ability to work independently

· Ability to work with confidential and sensitive information

· Must be detail-oriented and possess superior organization and time management skills

Bonus Points

· Experience with editing, big format development, and production
