Multimedia Promotions Producer / Photographer

WFXR and WWCW, the local FOX and CW affiliates in Roanoke, Virginia has an exciting opening for a Multimedia Promotions Producer/Photographer to join our promotions team. In this position you will be responsible for producing effective on-air promotional spots, digital and social media campaigns and special projects.
• Conceptualize, write, and create digital promotion and social media content on WFXRTV.com and all social media platforms
• Work closely with the Promotions Team to conceive, write, produce, and edit compelling on-air promos and image campaigns
• Attend news editorial meetings and work with the News Department on various projects
• Work with the Digital Team, or independently to design and execute digital promotional initiatives for the station
• Work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment and ensure that assigned projects are delivered on time
• Provide assistance shooting and editing content for station promotion campaigns
• Work as team member leading and participating in station community events
• Use Adobe Creative Cloud (e.g., Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, etc.) for production and post-production of content
• Push the creative envelope to new heights while adhering to brand guidelines
• Produce client sponsored promotional content, as assigned
• Serve as Production backup when necessary
• Perform other related duties, as assigned

Requirements & Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Graphic Design ore related field
• Minimum 3 years of on-air promotion experience as a writer/producer/editor for a local station or cable network working in a news environment
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be able to provide a reel of work examples -- include a web address with your resume or cover letter.
• Must be able to write creative content with thorough understanding of hashtags and their utilization
• Strong non-linear editing skills
• Extensive knowledge and proven experience in After Effects and Photoshop
• Passion for strong image and promotion writing
• Possess strong video production skills
• Working knowledge of lighting and audio gear
• Possess excellent communication, presentation, organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
• Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to successfully interact with all departments and community organizers
