Job Description
WCVB-TV, Boston's News Leader, is seeking an experienced full-time Facilities Manager to support 24/7 operations at Hearst Television's largest station. The Facilities Manager is responsible for all building maintenance, daily cleaning services, and supervises contractor support of facilities systems operations including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, elevator, building and staff security, and fire protection card access and surveillance systems.

Job Responsibilities

As a key member of the Engineering management team, the Facilities Manager responsibilities include working collaboratively with other departments to formulate proposals, plans and budgets for capital building improvement projects and supervising all contractors responsible for the same. The position also oversees mail, courier, and parcel delivery services, building sanitary supplies purchasing, freight shipping and deliveries. The successful candidate will understand, support, and implement COVID-19 safety protocols while being responsible for maintaining inventory and delivering for staff use supplies of COVID-19 personal protective equipment.

Qualifications Requirements

WCVB-TV facilities include the main studio building, vehicle garages, a tenant-occupied building, leased TV transmitter facilities and the weather radar site. In this hands-on position, applicants must be able to lift heavy objects (up to 75 lbs.).

Applicants for this position will be background screened and must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Education
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent proven work experience.
