Job Summary/Description:

Make a difference behind the scenes in a leading broadcast television and digital media station! WBNG-TV, the CBS affiliate in Binghamton, NY, is looking for a self-motivated individual with strong computer technology knowledge for a full-time opening on our broadcast engineer team.

This position will be responsible for all IT systems in this broadcast facility. This includes software upgrades and patches to various equipment along with networking responsibilities. This person would also be responsible for providing connectivity and maintenance for employee workstations, as well as integration, maintenance, and operation of new and current equipment including towers, transmitters, microwave, satellite, and IT installations.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Requirements for this position include good people skills to work with other departments, and knowledge of the engineering aspects of the technical facility including studio support, post editing systems, field production support, and transmission of live/taped events. Familiarity with RF technologies, basic wiring techniques and basic building maintenance practices a plus. A good driving record and flexible schedule are also required.

A broadcast engineering or IT related degree, or related field/experience is preferred.
