The Washington Nationals are actively searching for an individual who has a passion for large-scale public, ticketed events and is committed to excellence to be our Event Producer of Nationals Park Events. Our mission is for Nationals Park to be a year-round venue in the community for concerts, festivals and more. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Event Production:
• Oversee the planning and execution of self-produced events, which are programs produced by Nationals Park Events rather than partnering with an outside promoter, with the support and assistance of our Ballpark Operations and Levy Restaurant teams.
• Develop a diverse calendar of programs by presenting viable options to the Nationals Park Events Vice President and leadership.
• Budget development and tracking for all self-produced events.
• Collaborate with colleagues and leadership in all aspects of planning and executing including strategic marketing, ticket sales, vendor procurement, and event operations.
• Create unique sponsorship opportunities at all self-produced events.
• Work with the Washington Nationals Corporate Partnerships team to ensure that existing partner and well as new partners have the opportunity to support our events.
• Work closely with the Nationals Park Events marketing personnel and Washington Nationals marketing, communications and broadcasting partners to ensure our events are properly represented in the market.
• Source vendors for self-produced events by working with our distributor and restaurant partners in the area.
• When applicable source and manage production partners via an RFP process.
Account Management:
• Be the primary liaison to for event partners for co-produced events, ensure the marketing assets needed for announcement, presale and additional advertising emails and social media posts are provided by these partners.
• Hold dates in our internal database and oversee contract process for house accounts.
Research and Analytics:
• Conduct market research for prospective self-produced events.
• Join appropriate industry groups and stay knowledgeable about trends in the festival and events arena.
• Research entertainment options for self-produced events, staying informed about local and national entertainment options.
• Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality, Communications, or another related field.
• At least 2 years' experience working in Stadium/Arena location.
• Six to eight years' experience in building events from ideation to execution.
• Passion for taking calculated risks with data-driven vision and team consensus.
• Prior experience in corporate, entertainment and social event management and planning.
• CMP, PMP, or CSEP preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities necessary to perform essential functions:
• Be knowledgeable in event building in SalesForce or Momentus as needed.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a wide variety of public and private events.
• Demonstrated ability to be resourceful and dependable.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to effectively collaborate with internal team, cross-functional team, and external parties.
• Knowledge and proficiency in Internet communications technologies, (e-mail, Web, blogs, social media etc.) and MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills – ability to communicate with staff and prepare written reports.
• Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to direct the work activities of several associates simultaneously and plan ahead.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in fast-paced environment

Physical/Environmental Requirements
• Office: Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work will require weekend and evening work.
• Event/GameDay: Job requires employee to function in a high activity and heavily crowded outdoor professional sports venue. May work at heights. Employee will be exposed to inclement weather of varying degrees. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time, walk long distances, and climb up/down stairs. The employee is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit and must lift and/or move up to 45 pounds
Compensation:
The projected annual salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year. Actual pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to the applicant's: qualifications, skills, expertise, education/training, certifications, and other organization requirements. Starting salaries for new employees are frequently not at the top of the applicable salary range.
