With offices in more than 40 locations around the world, our expert copyright, royalties, income tracking and audit teams are supported by our centralized Global Administration division and our small network of specialized sub-publishers.

We are looking for a strategically minded executive with exceptional leadership skills to direct our US Royalties, Income Tracking and Audit Services departments. Reporting into the SVP Administration North America you will be responsible for the coordination of all functions related to these areas, inputting into and ensuring the execution of the strategy across the US and Canada. We believe that people are at the core of what we do and under the guidance of the SVP Administration, North America, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with all sectors of our business to develop new initiatives and deliver the very best in publishing administration, while leading, motivating and directing our Royalties, Income Tracking and Audit Services teams.

Here you'll get to:

Drive, develop and deliver strategy
• Work with SVP, Administration, North America to set the strategy for US Royalties, Income Tracking and Audit Services.
• Drive strategic innovation with identification and implementation of new technologies, software and business processes to overcome challenges presented by increasing data volume and complexities, to increase revenue generation in income tracking and massively increase efficiency across all three divisions.
• Develop workflows, processes and best practices for manipulating, processing and analyzing large datasets to meet the needs of each department under your leadership.
• Lead project manager (on the admin. side) in cross-functional collaborations with Global Technology, I.T., Reporting & Analytics, Data Management to meet the data and reporting needs of Royalties, Income Tracking and Audit Services.
• Design new reports to meet departmental needs and lead UAT on said reports.
• Analyzing existing processes, new processes and systems with a focus on enhancements to bring scale to operational processes.
• Enhance outward facing services/writer services through organization, standardization and cross-training/increased knowledge.
• Emphasize self-sufficiency within Administration, reducing reliance on outside parties.
• Review all new writer contracts and sign-off on contract administration's set-up of each new contract within royalty system after confirming contractual compliance.
• Work with international counterparts to ensure alignment of US Royalty & Income Tracking team's objectives and priorities with global royalty.
• Evaluate potential 3rd party partners/work with 3rd party partners to maximize revenue.
• Implement new technologies and develop corresponding reporting to organize and track projects' progress as well as capture KPI.

Represent the WCM business
• Develop and maintain best in class writer/client relationships, with a focus on service externally as well as to the internal teams who require support from Royalties, Income Tracking and Audit Services.
• Work with SVP, Administration, North America to determine Warner Chappell's participation in US-based industry initiatives/working groups identifying and fielding relevant personnel to represent the respective areas of the business.
• Work with SVP, Administration, North America to represent WCM to WMG's Global Technology division to ensure the development of new system enhancements and projects related to Royalties, Income Tracking and Audit Services.
• Lead discussions with outside parties such as PROs, MLC, DSPs and 3rd party partners to push departmental objectives and solve problems as they arise.

Maximize your leadership potential
• Oversee 3 to 4 direct reports/teams with a combined 15 members.
• Play an important role in the leadership of our US Administration division as part of the US senior management team.
• Line manage the Royalties, Income Tracking and Audit leads to effectively monitor priorities and workload. Jointly agree on short, medium and long-term goals for the three areas with the SVP, Administration, North America.
• Inspire, motivate and develop staff, ensuring that our people strategy is embraced throughout administration and beyond.
• Work cross-departmentally to implement better ways of working throughout the business, ultimately ensuring the very best service to our writers.
• Create and deliver regular reports to senior and executive leadership.
• Support the SVP, Administration, North America with budget, target and project planning.

About you:
• Degree level education in a related field
• 10+ years' experience in music publishing with significant time spent working within an operational or administrative role
• A public and respected profile within the industry. An individual with currency in industry-wide strategic and operational forums through participation in working groups, committees and industry initiatives.
• Strong international connections with societies, industry bodies, music publishers and the wider music industry
• Awareness and interest in current initiatives, market performance, trends and future developments
• An exceptional leader. Motivational, inspirational and driven to deliver the very best results from teams and individuals.
• A passion for professional development and dedication to expand staff experience, knowledge and skillsets.

• An understanding of the overall digital supply chain as it relates to music and the international claiming practices for key digital services, including YouTube

It would be music to our ears if you also had:
• An international background with an understanding and appreciation of different cultures and working practices as they relate to the music industry
• Relevant experience gained outside of a music publisher, e.g. prior experience at collection societies, licensing/processing hubs, licensees, DSPs, etc.
• Additional professional qualifications, including a degree or further study in business administration / management
