Job Title: Vice President, Finance – North America

A little bit about our team:

The Warner Chappell Finance and Accounting team works closely with the Center of Excellence (Shared Services) in Nashville, the WCM home office and Corporate Finance teams, and royalties department and is responsible for the US and Canada revenue and margin accounting and analysis.

Your role:

The VP of Finance for North America (US/Canada) serves as the lead finance executive for the business and is an integral member of the leadership team. This position is responsible for supervising and leading the finance team for North America including all related operations and functions (e.g., payables, budgeting/forecasting, treasury, and tax). This position requires someone with experience in leading teams and a track record of hiring and developing a high performing team. This position requires someone who understands the value of collaboration and partnership and can bring that focus to effectively manage internal/external partners.

Here you'll get to:
• Serves as a partner and advisor to the North American business, responsible for finance and accounting operations/activities, supervising financial trends, and helping to drive strategic planning activities at WCM.
• Is responsible for all sides of finance and accounting operations including but not limited to payables, receivables, overhead costs, and tax.
• Designs and implements processes and policies that directly relate to Finance activities at the WCM (e.g., forecasting cycles and general ledger maintenance).
• Owns the North American Finance team:
• Provides direction and mentorship for the team's work.
• Develops and maintains the team's organizational structure, partnering with the People Team accordingly.
• Coaches and develops team members, identifying skills needs and partners with the People team to outline development plans.
• Continually assesses workload requirements and allocation, working to recruit, hire, and retain employees as needed including identification of short-term temporary resourcing needs.
• Is responsible for related financial reporting activities such as budget preparation and cash flow analyses.
• Leads all aspects of financial modeling for key digital partner license deals in coordination with the Digital Deals team.
• Helps to supervise the preparation of financial statements for WCM in line with reporting/consolidation processes with the Warner Music Group.
• As part of the consolidation process, reviews technical accounting entries and related financial reporting for completeness and accuracy.
• Leads the team to initiate and coordinate royalty payments and other transactions.
• Directly supports special finance projects required for ongoing business operations, including diligence with respect to prospective acquisitions.
• Serves as WCM liaison to Corporate for Finance projects (e.g., Finance Transformation project).
• Meets with Corporate partners on various financial/accounting matters.

About You:
• A college degree in accounting, finance or business administration; a CPA license is desirable.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of professional experience in accounting, financial management or administration, performing tasks that require sufficient knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures, review and preparation of financial documents and reports, at least two (2) years of which in a supervisory capacity.

• A curiosity of learning and understanding of trends in the industry and field of Finance.
• Experience in developing and leading high-performing teams.
• Effective communicator and collaborator, values partnership and has experience as a business advisor.
• Understanding of generally accepted accounting practices and has experience in liaising with both internal and external audit.
• A solid understanding of Workday and SAP is desirable.
• Experience with developing and leading strategic plans.

Salary Range
$210,000 to $230,000 Annually

Salary ranges are included for job postings where required by law. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience and business needs. The pay range is subject to change at any time dependent on a variety of internal and external factors.
