Job Title: Sr. Analyst – External Reporting

The Corporate Finance Department at Warner Music Group is responsible for overseeing all of the financial operations of the Company in partnership with the finance groups at the labels and individual companies within Warner Music Group. The department provides financial reporting, accounting, planning, budgeting, and financial compliance for the Company. The department is filled with fun, outgoing and overall successful individuals who work hard all while enjoying the perks of working in the Music Industry.
Your role:
Warner Music Group is excited to offer this opportunity in the Corporate Finance Department. This position is responsible for assisting with the preparation of the quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements. This position will also be responsible for preparing various financial reporting deliverables and analyses. This position reports to the Senior Manager of External Reporting.
Here you'll get to:
• Assist in preparing the quarterly and annual consolidated financial documents (e.g. 10-K, 10-Q, etc.) in line with US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
• Assist in ensuring compliance with all applicable SEC and other reporting regulations
• Master Workvia, the cloud-based platform used to build our quarterly and annual financial documents
• Assist in performing disclosure analysis for peer Companies and other filers
• Prepare underlying supporting footnote schedules and coordinate with domestic and international affiliates regarding variances comparative to prior reporting periods
• Work closely with other departments to coordinate and acquire information for specific sections of the 10-K/10-Q
• Perform a detailed level tie out of our earnings press releases, quarterly and annual filings (e.g. 10-K, 10-Q, etc)
• Assist with the preparation of the quarterly and annual US GAAP disclosure checklist
• Support in preparing the annual 401(k) plan financial documents
• Assist with the oversight of the Company's equity compensation plan including preparation of monthly stock-based compensation journal entries
• Prepare quarterly reporting deliverables based on label/affiliate submissions which analyzes quarterly variances of certain key account balances based on their size and risk portfolio
• Coordinate the collection of the quarterly Management Representation Letter with domestic and international affiliates
• Act as control operator for key SOX controls corresponding with the above mentioned responsibilities and task performed
• Prepare ad hoc reports, special projects, and analyses for senior management, as requested
About you:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in accounting
• Big Four public accounting or large multi-national experience preferred
• CPA or CPA candidate a plus
• Strong digital literacy with knowledge of financial systems and software
• Entry level knowledge of GAAP/SEC accounting and reporting.
• Proficient with MS office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
• Knowledge of Hyperion Financial Management is a plus

This position requires a minimum of four days per week in the office. We value in-office collaboration and believe it's essential for talent development and fostering strong working relationships.
Salary Range
$90,000 to $95,000 Annually
Salary ranges are included for job postings where required by law. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience and business needs. The pay range is subject to change at any time dependent on a variety of internal and external factors.
