Your role:
This position is located in WCPM's recording facility in Hollywood, which houses a staff of eight, and reports directly to the Director, Production and indirectly to both the Head of Production and WCPM's team of producers. Primary duties include assisting studio executives with production workflow, audio editing and QC, various administrative duties, and greeting studio clients. Responsibilities are varied for this small team and may include everything from booking the studio, answering phones and general client services to hands-on oversight of production workflow, onboarding freelance composers, graphic art coordination, low-level accounting, light legal duties and metadata review. You will also be the 'host' of WCPM's Hollywood studio as you liaison with clients and the Hollywood entertainment community who utilize our services. Our focus is on generating top quality production music for our catalogs and high-end custom music for our media clients.

You will…
• Handle reception desk (light), greet musicians and clients and handles catering when necessary.
• Help maintain orderly appearance of recording studio and common rooms.
• Manage various administrative duties for production executives including travel arrangements, correspondence, staff schedules, taking notes during staff/client/creative meetings, generating and distributing various reports.
• Work closely with Director, Production to facilitate new library and custom project setup, audio quality control, comping live recording takes, musical edits/cuts of longer form songs, album packaging and various other production related responsibilities.
• Work closely with Director, Production on various music/sound design projects including tracking workflow in PMS (Monday.com), interfacing with composers and musicians, collecting project assets (audio files, artwork, metadata) and prepping legal documents for review.
• Manage the facilitation of audio edits, picture layback, and file prep for client delivery.
• Work closely with Director, Production to manage metadata on all wholly owned assets, confirming all composer and publishing data, catalog IDs and IRSC numbers are accurate.
• Work closely with Director, Production to manage various accounting responsibilities which may include new vendor set up and maintenance, invoice processing, and researching vendor payment status.
• Responsible for sourcing/coordinating freelance graphic artists for digital album covers.
• Support Music Creative team with music and market research as needed.
• Support Music Creative team with creating music playlists from 200K+ WCPM music library as needed.
• Ensure timely delivery of stems to clients upon request.
• Review unsolicited music submissions from composers.
• Manage studio booking and client visits.
• Ensure proper sign-in and enforces security procedures.
• Processes incoming/outgoing correspondence and oversees office supplies and office equipment maintenance (not studio gear).
• Manage logistics between Head of Production, Producers and Director Production.
• Maintain Production client contacts and lists.
About you:
• Must have experience with music production or in the general music industry.
• Must have advanced knowledge of DAW/Audio Editing.
• Must have passion to learn and grow in the production music industry.
• Must have broad understanding of a wide variety of musical genres.
• Must be a team player with experience navigating sensitive dynamics when working with creative individuals including clients, musicians, producers and composers.
• Must have good math skills and good organizational skills with regard to accounting in particular (though no accounting experience required).
• Must be Mac user with knowledge of Excel, Google Workspace, Cloud Storage (Box, Drive, etc).
• Must be open to learning new software and AI tools (previous experience preferred).
• Must have a working knowledge of DSP's and digital music distribution.
We'd love it if you also had:
• Video editing and Photoshop/Illustrator competency.
• Coding, AI Assisted coding, and experience building and maintaining automated systems.
• Composing, Audio Engineering, and/or Musician background.

Salary Range
$68,640 - $70,000 annually
Salary ranges are included for job postings where required by law. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience and business needs. The pay range is subject to change at any time dependent on a variety of internal and external factors.
