Job Description
Job Title: Manager, Label Operations
A little bit about our team:
The Label Operations team at Atlantic Music Group is dedicated to ensuring that our music products (audio, video and beyond) are managed from A&R handoff to commercial availability, intersecting and connecting all the moving parts across A&R Administration, Marketing, Business Affairs, Creative, and Production. This team is critical to both the operations of our product planning/delivery system, as well as communication within the company as the owners of the master release schedule.
Your role:
This is an opportunity to work at one of the most historic and successful record companies in the world, in the center of the action. You will hold a critical role with access and communication across all levels within the company and will learn, in a front row seat, how a major record label works. If paying close attention to detail, navigating digital supply chain systems, communicating calmly yet effectively, and working collaboratively with top industry professionals aligns with you, this is your opportunity. If you are a collaborator at heart, love managing in an incredibly fast-paced, complex environment, and have a thirst to learn and grow with the industry, this could be the role for you.
Here you'll get to:
• Work with the marketing product managers to schedule upcoming releases with our production teams, maintain our company-wide release schedule, and communicate updates to the company.
• Work with production teams to coordinate product set-up strategy and execution, employing a knowledge of release management systems and DSP requirements.
• Keep release status up to date by interfacing with key staff across the following departments: A&R, A&R Administration, Business Affairs, Creative (Art & Video), Product Management and Production.
• Ensure all release timelines are kept and lead the charge if they are not. Provide timely communication regarding the status of each project, jump in to fix problems, and coordinate changes as they arise.
• Think broadly about the music industry ecosystem as it changes day to day, and work to build new release strategies to help our artists get the most from their work.
• Be a company-wide resource.
About you:
• You are proactive and able to anticipate problems before they arise and help to build creative solutions.
• You are detail-oriented with the ability to assess the accuracy and efficiency of a release plan's execution at both micro and macro levels.
• You work well and communicate effectively with different teams across every part of the Atlantic and WMG organizations.
• You are service-oriented and willing to often take on tasks that are not part of the job description in a constantly evolving environment.
• You shift gears comfortably and maintain composure when under pressure.
• You work independently and are a self-starter.
We'd love it if you also had:
• Project management expertise and experience in a process-centric, operational role.
• Basic understanding of the music creative, production and distribution process.
• Digital supply chain experience.
