Job Title: Manager, A&R/Remixes
A little bit about our team:
As an A&R Staff, we work closely together to help our artists make and release the best music possible. We pride ourselves on being a tightknit team who have strong relationships within the music industry and with one another to not only achieve our goals, but to go above and beyond for the artists on our roster. Our A&R team facilitates environments for their signed roster artists to record music and help with song repertoire for their projects. When key songs for an artists' project are determined, an important aspect of the song campaign is having remixes. This role will have a direct impact on all of the members of our A&R team. Remixes are an important part of an artists' campaign that assist in magnifying a songs potential not only sonically but also from a marketing prospective. Strong Remix packages help to promote and grow a song and project to different audiences in different places both domestically and all around the globe.

This employee will have the opportunity to discover new remix artists and build on relationships with established remix artists. They will have to use their A&R ear to hear the priority song in need of remixes and determine what remixers would be best to remix that record. They will learn how to work closely and creatively with Atlantic A&R's and their key artists to create the most competitive remix packages for key songs. They will be the point person for the entire A&R staff for remixes. They will get to work with set budgets to create the packages and also liaise with the marketing staff once remix packages are set to make sure each remix receives the marketing look intended. Strong remixes can help turn a song into a hit.

-You will get to oversee budgets and paperwork for remixes and learn how to manage remix project budgets

-You will get to develop strong relationship with both the Atlantic and Big Beat staff overall
Rockstar candidates will be able to:
• 1+ years of A&R Remix experience
• Relationships with managers, remixers, producers, publishers and artists
• Excellent communication skills (this is critical)
• Excellent organizational skills (this is critical)
• Excellent social and net-working skills
• Playlist awareness (what playlists program what genres)
• Great ear for music in all styles but specifically in the electronic & electronic alternative space and knowledge of a vast body of music past and present.
• Ability to Multi-task
• Ability to identify musical trends in the marketplace and anticipate those which will achieve significant fan bases.
• Understanding of the current music trends both sonically and on the marketing side
• Understanding of how to manage a remix A&R budget
• Understanding of how to read all industry charts (i.e. radio, soundscan)
It would be music to our ears if you also had:
-You have knowledge of remix culture and the electronic music community
-You will have knowledge of various playlists across DSP's and what genres they represent
-You have knowledge of each decade of popular music and the big remixes that broke out of those decades
