Job Title: Financial Analyst

A little bit about our team:

The Finance team at Warner Records supports all aspects of financials for the record label including Marketing, A&R, Revenue, Overhead and Expense reporting. We're a tight-knit team where you'll gain experience from a variety of backgrounds and have exposure to many areas within Warner Records.

Your role:

As a Financial Analyst at Warner Records, you'll be gaining Finance experience in a lively industry. You'll work alongside multiple Finance team members managing Marketing and Overhead spending for the label. This will give you outstanding insight into various departments at Warner Records. You'll also work closely alongside the Shared Services team forecasting expense for our Joint Ventures. Everyone on our team is given the opportunity to get involved in special projects and will have the chance to create a meaningful impact on the Warner Records business.

Here you'll get to:

JOINT VENTURE FORECASTING:
• Manage monthly close, forecast and annual budget schedules for JV expense
• Review 3rd party statements and partner with the Participations team to ensure accuracy
• Work closely with the Accounting team in Nashville on monthly close and review of balance sheet
OVERHEAD:
• Handle budget, forecast, and actuals for each overhead category.
• Write journal entries as needed
• Work directly with the CFO to explain variances

MARKETING:
• Support Finance Manager on Marketing spending and related activities
• Assist with monitoring and tracking spending mid-month to ensure accurate budget targets are being met and not exceeded.
• Maintain marketing files – add marketing pages for new budgets and update overall projects & department pages
• Train users on Ariba / SAP. Understand system functions and capabilities to be able to get new users set up and learn the system
• Month-end close processes – complete journal entries and reports for both department and Shared Services team.

About you:
• You have a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
• You have strong analytical skills, and are very proficient in systems and Excel.
• The right person for this position must have the ability to meet deadlines and pay close attention to detail.
• The position also requires someone who is highly organized with a strong ability to multi-task, a self-starter, but someone who takes direction and works well with change, and is a phenomenal teammate.

Salary Range
$65,000 to $75,000 Annually

Salary Ranges are included for all NY, California job postings and 100% remote roles where talent can be located. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience and business needs. The pay range is subject to change at any time dependent on a variety of internal and external factors.
