Job Description
The Job: We are seeking a Sr Staff QA Engineer who is a creative and driven individual to own and guide the QA process by finding defects, isolate why, and provide a practical approach to prioritizing what gets fixed for the consumer digital products across WarnerMedia. Working with numerous disciplines throughout the Testing Center of Excellence organization, the Sr Staff QA Engineer will oversee and participate in manual and automation efforts across multiple workstreams and assist with and support the testing lifecycles for our platforms, utilizing strong multiple technical and soft skills. This position is also responsible for dotted-line oversight of team resources, providing guidance, delegating duties, and prioritizing work across multiple projects. The Sr Staff QA Engineer is a trusted team member and partner within the Center of Excellence, the project team, and the brand teams that we support.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop a thorough understanding of the project team's business domain by participating in project planning sessions, user story reviews and design sessions
• Oversee/lead software testing efforts and team members working on active development projects
• Provide test oversight, coordination, and guidance to onshore and offshore team members for multiple projects
• Analyze complex functional requirements and designs, translate them into test cases, and prepare a detailed test plan
• Lead and participate in test case peer reviews with BAs, Developers and QA team members
• Execute test plans, including functional, system, regression, integration, performance, service layer, API, and database layer
• Record, log, and retest defect fixes
• Create and execute performance tests as needed
• Participate and coordinate user acceptance test planning with the project team
• Establish and maintain appropriate hardware and software environments for testing
• Follow configuration management processes as directed to adhere to migration standards. Responsible for the final verification of migration requests to ensure compliance processes (i.e., Sarbanes-Oxley)
• Assist in evaluation and implementation of tool, processes, methodologies, and standards across the QA team
• Coordinate and manage post-implementation testing of production issues as required
• Participate in code migration meetings to coordinate production releases
• Perform production release smoke testing
• Participate in project estimation and sizing/velocity efforts
• Provide technical guidance to other team members on solving complex testing challenges
• Suggest, develop, and generate test metrics as needed
• Analyze software testing trends and new processes in the testing community and present those to the QA team

The Essentials
• Bachelor's Degree or comparable education required
• 10+ years of experience in QA experience
• Minimum 3+ years in test automation and related frameworks.
• At least 3 years of experience leading multiple projects
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experienced in software delivery processes and ability to problem solve in efficient, business-friendly, creative manner
• Experienced in CI/CD process in building or contributing to automated testing frameworks, code reviews and development of POC's as needed
• Experienced using command-line knowledge and programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, node.js, or another major language)
• Experienced using UI automated testing tools (e. g. Applitools) and proxy tools (e.g. Charles)
• Experience in using API testing, Load testing and security testing
• Experienced in developing technical documentation and hands on different technical stacks
• Knowledge of databases and ability to store and retrieve information via written queries
• Experience with common software development tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, JIRA, etc
• Experience with client/server product releases/deployments of SaaS applications

• Ability to provide mentorship to junior team members and build strong relationships through practical and strategic thinking
• Ability to work with other testing partners to share and establish common strategies/goals for our group
