Sr. Infrastructure Engineer

Job Description

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for design, engineering, automating and second and third line support of the global production network, ensuring network design and strategy aligns with the needs of WarnerMedia's Productions. In this role, you will have a unique opportunity to automate core aspects of the way network, telephony, and other IT services are delivered; as such, a strong background in software engineering is essential. The position has global reach and requires the skills to work effectively in an enterprise environment servicing both internal and external clients.

In this position, you will work closely with WarnerMedia Operations, various production and technology groups within
WarnerMedia to ensure that the core network needs are fully addressed. The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will also be responsible for working alongside third parties and partners to ensure that work is being performed according to budgets and schedules, all while ensuring that quality and business agility needs are fully addressed.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
(What is necessary for this person to have done previously on-the-job. Please specify number of years of experience or at what level).Minimum 5 years' experience leading complex LAN and WAN project builds with proven performance to achieve on-time completion of projects. Demonstrated successful design, planning and implementation of wide and local area network architecture, including troubleshooting and capacity planning. Experience in deployment and support of the following:
• Routing protocols OSPF, and BGP
• Spanning tree, VTP, Port Channels, Load balancing, SPAN
• NAT /PAT/SNAT
• QoS understanding and configuration, able to customize across all Cisco platforms to support Voice, Video, and selected applications
• VPN technologies and protocols

Extensive knowledge and experience of Core Routing and Switching design, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• EVPN design, configuration; spine and leaf
MPLS traffic engineering design, configuration, and troubleshooting
- ISIS, LDP, TDP, RSVP Label distribution
• MPBGP-VPNv4, Multi-VRF and VRF-Lite

Extensive knowledge and experience of Network Security, including the design, configuration, and tuning. Responsible for tier 2 to 3 troubleshooting. Experience with Automation and Orchestration
• Python with Exscript, RESTCONF
• Ansible and Puppet Labs

Experience with engineering cloud connectivity into AWS and Azure
• AWS : VPC, Transit Gateways, DirectConnect, ELB/ALB, Route 53
• Azure: VNET
• Ansible and Puppet Labs

Knowledge of the following security platforms:
• Palo Alto

Desirable Requirements
Desirable experience in automation systems and scripting such as Ansible and underlying scripting such as Python with REST/API Preferable experience in Film/Television and Broadcast Production environments. Experience in deployment and support of the following:
• Multicast PIM Sparse/Dense, MSDP

Application and WAN Optimization appliance design and configuration Knowledge in one or more of the platforms in the following order of importance:
• Arista
• Cisco
• Juniper

Design and implementation of video network infrastructures. Has working knowledge of recognized Project Management process groups such as Initiating, Planning, Executing, Controlling and Closing.

Working knowledge of VMWARE ESXI Environments
