The Senior Financial Analyst will prepare, review and present accurate, timely and relevant financial reporting, planning and analysis, with strategic focus, as it relates to the News Operations and Newsource Sales. The main areas of focus include Forecast and Actuals, Analysis, Reporting & Presentations, Budget and Long Range Planning. Participate in meetings with various business units to gain insight into overall financial strategies. Ensure accuracy, relevancy and integrity of all information on financial statements reported. Identify ways to leverage technology to streamline processes. Pro-actively support multiple departments. Create complex and detailed analysis projects. Collaborate with Operational and Financial Management teams to assess and prioritize needs for specific analysis that focus on operating strategies. Ensure accuracy, relevance and integrity of data. Develop innovative analyses that measure financial and operational performance in ways not captured on basic financial statements. Create robust and sophisticated financial and business models, test models for insight, and present findings. Play key role in planning, coordination, and preparation of News Operations budgets and long range plans process to ensure timely and organized completion. Create and present budget presentations to management and assist with the development of budget presentations and support documentation for executive management.

Job Qualifications:

Education and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• MBA or CPA preferred
• Minimum 4 years accounting and/or finance experience involving forecasting and budgeting with at least 2 years of experience in a role with demonstrated strong analytical organization and technical skills.

Required Skills:
• Strong written, oral and presentation skills, effective communicator at all levels of the organization
• Candidates must demonstrate initiative and the ability to manage multiple deliverables and priorities
• Ability to influence others and work well in a team environment
• Advanced analytical skills, and strong technical accounting skills supported by proficiency in all MS Office applications and ESSBASE/Hyperion applications.
• Advanced Excel skills are essential
