Job Description

The Job
WarnerMedia Technology is looking for a Software Engineer with emphasis on MS SQL skills to be a member of the world class technology team, delivering and supporting solutions for the Brazil territory office.
Strong knowledge of and experience with SQL language for MS SQL Server version 2012 or above and modern software development methodologies is essential
The SQL Developer will work closely with the Product Owners in technology projects through a combination of software development and collaboration with other teams.
The individual will also participate in business requirements gathering and come up with optimal solutions that address the business' goals.
Proven problem solving, communication (verbal and written), and client relationship skills are also required. Experience in the Media and Entertainment industry is a plus.

The Daily
Develop software solutions to meet the requirements of the business. Seek out opportunities to leverage emerging technologies to the benefit of the business.
Develop and support SQL server stored procedures incorporating business logic to extract, modify and validate data to be used in front-end applications.
Resolve technology issues that are raised: troubleshooting, escalating, and collaborating with business users and technology support teams until issues are resolved.
Analyze business processes, identify needs, and develop strategies to improve efficiency and productivity through technology.
Communicate status of projects to technology and business leadership.
Develop cross functional, cross divisional, cross disciplinary relationships that assist with ensuring initiatives are collaborative and successful.

The Essentials
Bachelor's degree required
Technical background in system and software architecture, design, development and documentation required
Experience with SQL language, mainly for Microsoft SQL server version 2012 or above.
Experience building custom software solutions in Microsoft .Net and Visual Basic

Technical knowledge, skills, and experience in the following areas:
Microsoft SQL language for complex queries and stored procedures
Software architecture, software design, system integration, data architecture.
Development methodologies including waterfall, agile and continuous delivery (e.g. DevOps)
Microsoft SQL server administration version 2012 or above in on-premise and cloud environments

Functional knowledge, skills, and experience in the following areas:
Collaboration skills to develop partnerships across the WarnerMedia Technology organization and with external providers and vendors.
Business analysis and functional design
Technology assessment and application

Nice to Have
Experience in creating Tableau and PowerBI reports / dashboards.
Experience with creating productivity solutions using Office 365 tools – Sharepoint, Flow, Teams
Experience working in Theatrical Distribution or a Media & Entertainment company.
