Wizarding World Digital is a joint venture between Pottermore and Warner Brothers focused on using technology to deliver new, innovative and personalised experiences to fans of Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts. It is also the home of the official Harry Potter Fan Club, an audience of almost 50 million registered fans. The Wizarding World franchise is a magical universe first established with J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter books and brought to the screen in the Warner Bros. movies. It now extends to Universal theme parks with record breaking attendance, Warner Bros Studio Tour – The Making of Harry Potter (the highest rated attraction worldwide), a Tony award-winning stage play - Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, hit games including Wizards Unite, Hogwarts Mystery and Harry Potter Magic Awakened, interactive experiences, global exhibitions, a second movie series - Fantastic Beasts plus a wide range of popular consumer products, including our exclusive Harry Potter Fan Club Pin Seeking collection.

The Job

This is a key role within the Wizarding World Digital team; you will be supporting with the management of the Wizarding World and Harry Potter Film and Fantastic Beasts social channels, crafting programmatic content that will delight fans of the franchise on a daily basis with support from an agency. You will work with key members of the Content and Growth teams along with the Social Media consultant to execute on key campaigns and partner moments and will be a point of contact for partners across the board. This role will also help to shape and execute the channel strategy, working closely with the Content, Growth, Commercial teams, agencies and Social Media consultant.

An eye for detail and extremely strong organisational skills are a must for this role, as is a natural interest in the social media landscape, and a keen eye for innovation and new content trends. You should also know your Bowtruckles from your Nargles (our fans do!) and be keen on data-led innovation.

The Daily
• Supporting with content planning for the Wizarding World, Harry Potter Film and Fantastic Beasts social channels (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok).
• Managing the social calendar in Airtable
• Working closely with the Social Media Consultant and agencies and provide them with guidance on posting schedules and execution
• Approving ideas and copy generated by an external agency
• Leading on social elements of the channel strategy and working with the team to direct the overall project output.
• Increasing the power of the WWD/HP Film/Fantastic Beasts social channels as acquisition tools, generating interest in our paid and free offerings.
• Maintaining strong relationships with social media platforms, ensuring we are always driving innovation through research. And then seeking to apply ideas and thinking from that research into the social media output of the franchise team.
• Working with all franchise partners on small, mid- and top-tier projects and support their endeavours with social support that is true to the brand values.
• Reporting on all social media activations – from daily content to major campaigns – and using the resulting data to inspire overall KPIs and inform content decisions.
• Helping to organise and run brainstorms and other ideation workstreams.

The Essentials
• An obsession with social media, content driven data and a desire to test and apply it to create effective and meaningful strategies.
• General affection for and knowledge of Harry Potter and the Wizarding World franchise.
• Proven ability to multi-task and switch gears quickly, we need a proactive person with a strong work ethic who can take control over their own workload in order to deliver excellence.
• Unparalleled verbal and written communication skills.
• The candidate should be unphased about working with a global franchise with key partners and collaborators working in different time zones and in locations all over the world.

The Nice-to-Haves
• Ruthlessly organised and deadline focused.
• Video production, creation and editing skills would be an ideal addition.
• Understanding and appreciation for fan culture in all its forms.
• Experience of working for a global entertainment franchise or elsewhere in the creative industries would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of Sprinklr, or a similar social media management tool, would be a plus.
