Senior Production Coordinator

Job Description

The Senior Coordinator of Production will act as a network representative between third party production companies, filmmakers, and WarnerMedia partners throughout the production process. They will assist the Director of Production in coordinating all current production workflows from pre-production through post-production & delivery for CNN Original Series, CNN Films, and HLN Original series. Under the supervision of the Director of Production, they will assist with the coordination and execution of all key elements of the production process for each project including: Scheduling, Development Budget Review, Invoicing and Payments, Cost Report and Auditing review, the tracking of Network Deliverables, and budgetary, travel and/or production-specific research as needed. Additional they will serve as a key point of contact between external production companies and our internal Launch, Finance, and Legal teams- ensuring information is communicated in a timely manner.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Track invoices and payment schedules for production partners and vendors.
• Conduct budgetary, travel and/or production-specific research as needed
• Communicate relevant production updates to all internal CNN teams including production calendars and project cuts and review timelines.
• Assist in managing the distribution of cuts internally, and with our 3rd party partners.
• Coordinate with the CNN Creative Marketing and Digital Teams to ensure that they have all relevant show assets to promote the series and films.
• Set department meetings as needed during development and production periods to establish key production decisions that shape project budget and schedule
• Serve as the central point of contact between external production companies and internal Scheduling, Post, Creative, Business Affairs, Legal, Launch, Finance and Audit teams to ensure all production updates are communicated in a timely manner
• Schedule and track calls for each greenlit production, including official Production Kick Off Calls
• Review production budgets and schedules that are submitted during the development period to ensure that the proposed exhibits are reflective of network feedback and desired project terms
